What is a consortium?
A consortium is a temporary alliance of several independent companies delivering a joint bid. The participants are equal partners in the bid.
According to the regulations, each participant must submit their own ESPD, based on grounds for exclusion, qualification requirements, and any rules for selecting participants in the competition.
Consortia differ from subcontractors, who perform parts of the contract on behalf of the main bidder. You can use both in the same bid.

Invite participants into the consortium
As the main bidder, you are responsible for completing the response in Artifik, both during the qualification and bidding phases. The other consortium participants you invite only fill out their own ESPD.
Before you can invite participants, you must create a draft response. Then do the following to invite consortium members;
- Go to the Qualification tab, and the section Join participation.
- Under the question: Will you submit as a consortium? select Yes.
- Add consortium participants by clicking +Add consortium participant.
- Add the participant's email and organization name.
- You can either select the qualification criteria you want them to fulfill, or select none of the criteria.
The invited member will get notified by email.
Respond to ESPD as a consortium participant
The invited organization receives an email with a link to a form where they fill in their ESPD.
- Click the link in the email
- Fill out the form and invite in subcontractors if needed.
- Click Submit to submit your response.
Monitor status and responses
In the Joint participation section in the Qualification tab, you can at any time see the status of each invited participant:
- Invited - the participant has been invited and notified by email
- In progress - the participant has started filling out the form on their side
- Submitted - the participant has completed and submitted the form
When a participant has submitted their response, you can open it by clicking View response.
Delete an invitation or submitted response
At any time before you have submitted, you can delete a consortium member.
- Find the participant in the table.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm the choice in the dialog box that appears.
The person is no longer part of the consortium, and if they had already submitted a response, it will be deleted.
Consortia in competitions with subcontract lots
If the competition is divided into subcontract lots, the consortium is set up per subcontract lot. The table with consortium participants is shown per subcontract lot, and you can set up different consortia for different subcontract lots.
If you want the same consortium for several subcontract lots, it must be entered per subcontract lot.
After the competition, contract as a consortium
When the contract is sent for signing, it will appear in your overview.
- Click Menu - Contracts to go to the contract overview
- Use the search field or filters to find and open the contract.
- An overview of consortium participants is in the Consortium section
- Add other participants to the contract's team by clicking Add team. This way, they can be given access to contract information.
