A Request for Information (RFI) is a non-binding request from the contracting authority seeking input from suppliers before a potential procurement. This is an important opportunity for you as a supplier to influence the design of the competition.

This article explains how you as a supplier can respond to an RFI in Artifik.
- RFIs are non-binding. You are not committing to further participation by submitting a response.
- You do not need to be logged in to read the notice or view questions and answers.
- You must log in and follow the RFI to communicate with the contracting authority and submit a response.
Respond to an RFI
First, log in to Artifik and open the RFI. If you are not yet registered in Artifik, you need to register first.

Then, click "Follow RFI" in the Home tab of the RFI.
You will then gain access to submit a response, as well as communicate with the contracting authority via the Communications tab. If the contracting authority has shared any Q&As, you can view them under the Questions and Answers tab.
There are two ways to respond to a market survey, depending on how the buyer has chosen to set up the RFI.
- Respond via respond fields: If the contracting authority has added response fields, you’ll see them in the lower half of the Home tab. There will also be a green button labeled Start Responding.
- Respond via the Communications tab: If no response fields have been added, there will be no green button. You must then submit your response via the Communications tab.
Respond via the respond fields
Click Start Responding to activate the response window.
You can now complete the fields added by the contracting authority. Depending on how the survey is set up, you may respond to:
Yes/No questions
Multiple choice questions
Free text
Document uploads
When you're finished, click Submit Response to send your input.
Once submitted, Artifik will clearly show a green checkmark and the text Response Submitted as confirmation.
